Gerard DeCourcy

Board Chair

 Gerard has practiced law for over 30 years and is a Partner at Downie Stewart, Lawyers, Dunedin.

He has extensive experience in business, trusts, relationship property and general property matters. Gerard lectures Business Law at the University of Otago. He is a director and shareholder of Bradley Nuttall Otago financial management and a Director of NZ Law Limited, one of NZ's leading association of independent legal practices.

Gerard was a nationally ranked Squash player and subsequently Chair of Squash New Zealand and then the World Squash Federation. He also currently Chairs the World Squash Disciplinary Commission and Doping Hearing Panel. He is married with two young adult daughters. He has a particular interest in eating disorders as it has affected people close to him.

Kylie Malin

Board Member

 Kylie has worked in the non-profit sector for over ten years.  In that time she has supported over 40 organisations to help them achieve their goals.

Kylie is a specialist in not-for-profit fundraising streams, communications, marketing and change management.She has personal experience of needing not-for-profit support, which gives her genuine empathy and understanding of the importance of the sector.

Kylie is particularly passionate about strengthening the health and disability, social services, mental health, children's services and sporting sectors.

Since on boarding with RLNZ, Kylie hit the ground running with her effervescent personality and is dedicated to helping us save lives.

  

Tracey Murray

Tracey is Senior Associate of Shand Thomson in Balclutha, having been with the firm for over 20 years. 

 She is a strong supporter of community groups, serving on several boards and acting as a treasurer for several local organisations on a voluntary basis.

Tracey has been involved with RLNZ since its inception and is a valued member of our Charitable Trust board.

Kristie Amadio

Board Member

Kristie serves on the Recovered Living Charitable Trust Board, connecting the aims of the Trust with the practicalities of the RLNZ program.

Formerly an elite athlete, Kristie now enjoys riding horses and playing squash recreationally.

Kristie’s own recovery, thousands of others recoveries, and Recovered Living NZ, is proof that with determination and courageous work, magic really does happen.

Kristie holds a Bachelor of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, a Masters of Counselling from Monash University and is a Provisional Member Registered with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.

Victor Klap

Advisor to the Board

 Early in his career Victor specialised in finance, following which he spent some time in manufacturing.  The next phase took him into the health sector - this covered over 20 years and saw him move around from government to Not for Profit (representing the country's GPs for over 9 years).

Victor has amassed over 25 years of experience as a CEO of various organizations, over 20 years as a board member and time in commercial, for-profit, not for profit and government sectors.

Victor finished his career with 5 years as the Chief Executive Officer of Outward Bound.  Following his retirement, Victor and his wife moved to Queenstown and enjoy spending ample time in the outdoors and supporting various community organizations and Trusts.

   

Anna Kowalski

Advisor to the Board

Immersed in the eating disorder field for over 18 years in Los Angeles, California, Anna has worked with countless clients to a successful recovery.

Direct, thoughtful, and with a big heart, she is a formidable match for any eating disorder. Anna is the type of person that if you meet with her once, you remember her forever. She inspires clients with her zest for life, is quick to laugh and has a way of making every person that crosses her path feel special.

She has provided training and mentoring in several eating disorder treatment centers across the United States and unequivocally holds the belief that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible. Anna brings her years of experience to her advisory role with the Trust.

Lynne Ritchie

Board Member

Lynne has lived and worked in Christchurch and Canterbury her whole life.

She has been on various trusts over the years and has always enjoyed being involved in community and charity work on a volunteer basis.

Until recently Lynne has been a shareholder of a trust in the ownership of Ritchie’s Transport Holdings Limited (now sold) and is still a shareholder of other family companies.

A grandmother now, she is passionate about people and families, and is forever interested in supporting and helping those affected by eating disorders.
